We founded Savills Catering with the idea that the heart of a good home is the kitchen. We specialise in using farm fresh ingredients and old fashioned techniques to create home cooked meals that are delicious,

healthy and oh so satisfying.

 

When catering for schools we know that if children eat well, they perform to their best. Mealtimes should be a pleasurable experience, with time spent sharing food with peers and teachers. Savills Catering constantly strive for excellence in meeting the School Food Standards, helping children develop healthy eating habits, ensuring they get the energy and nutrition they require.

In our catering operations at Retirement Villages, Sheltered Accomodation, Care Facilities and Industry Canteens our desire is to create

memorable meal experiences. A time to share a story with a friend or enjoy valuable time relaxing and unwinding. Our menus are tailored to suit your requirements, offering a wide selection to suit everyones tastes.

Justin Baptie

Chairman

Having purchased Savills Catering in 2006, Justin used his extensive experience and knowledge in all aspects of business to shape Savills Catering into the business it is today. Whilst continuing to drive his other businesses, Justin helped streamline operations and cut down on waste whilst putting the quality of meals provided as a priority. Since his involvement the company has tripled in size and he intends for this success to continue in the future.

Gary Buckland

Managing Director

Gary has 35 years’ experience in the service, contract catering and cleaning industry.  Having been with the company for over 10 years he is responsible for overseeing the day to day operating procedures of the company. Gary drives the business by dealing with our clients directly and ensuring we stay flexible enough to manage our relationships personally. He oversees the kitchens through his operations team and ensures they deliver and check our Standards and procedures are being followed.

Sarah Benns

Administration and

HR Director

Sarah has worked at Savills Catering since 2014, she oversees all administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the company. Sarah liaises with all aspects of the business, organising people, information, and other resources ensuring they are operating efficiently and have all the documentation they need.​

Steve Alake

Area Manager

Steve Alake joined Savills Catering in May 2024 as an Area Manager. With a passion for cooking and a strong commitment to mentoring staff, Steve is dedicated to helping team members develop their skills and achieve their potential as chefs. His leadership style is rooted in hands-on experience and a love for the culinary arts, making him a key contributor to the growth and success of our team. Steve’s enthusiasm for both food and people makes him an invaluable part of Savills Catering.

Gary Hickman

Area Manager

Gary Hickman joined Savills Catering in July 2024 as our Area Manager. Bringing with him a wealth of experience in team leadership and operational management, Gary oversees multiple locations, ensuring the highest standards of service and efficiency are maintained. His hands-on approach and dedication to both clients and staff make him a key asset to the company. Gary's commitment to delivering excellence across the board has already made a positive impact since he joined the team.

David Brown

Area Manager & Development Chef

David has been with Savills Catering since October 2019. With over 25 years of Catering experience, David is an accomplished chef that enjoys mentoring and training chefs. With his passion for presentation and nutrition he brings great enthusiasm for developing chefs within Savills Catering.​

Area Manager 

Simon brings over 30 years of experience in the catering industry to Savills Catering. He became a qualified chef in America and has since created and designed restaurant concepts and menus for many well-known restaurant chains.  Simon is highly proactive in building strong customer and client relationships, making him a key asset to our team and a leader in delivering exceptional service.

Office Administrator

Allison joined Savills catering in August 2020 and provides essential administration support to the team. Her organisation skills are key to ensuring all staff meet our compliance requirements. Allison has worked in administration for many years and these skills are key to providing a first-class service to our clients.​

Book Keeper & Payroll Administrator

Rhiannon is an essential part of the Savills Catering team, overseeing bookkeeping and payroll administration. With a sharp eye for detail and a passion for financial accuracy, she ensures our records are up to date and our payroll runs smoothly. Her organizational skills and dedication to supporting both the business and its staff make her a valuable team member.

Book Keeper

Wendy  has been a valued member of the Savills Catering team since April 2022, serving as our Book Keeper. With her attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, Wendy ensures that our financial records are meticulously maintained and up to date. Her expertise and dedication contribute to the smooth running of our financial operations, making her an integral part of our team.
